What do you actually do?
We prepare your licence application: forms, supporting documents, floor plans and a check of what you hold. You review and sign the declarations, and we send the pack to the council and deal with routine questions.
Do you guarantee the council will grant the licence?
No. Only the council can grant, refuse or add conditions to a licence. A well-prepared application avoids delays caused by missing or wrong information.
Are the council's fees included?
No. Each council sets its own licence fee, paid directly to the council. Our price covers our work only.
Which licence does my property need?
Try our licence checker for a quick indication. The answer depends on how many people live there, how many households they form, and which schemes your borough runs. We confirm it before you pay anything beyond a deposit.
How long does it take?
We usually have a pack ready within 10 working days of receiving all the documents. Council decision times vary widely, from weeks to many months.
What if I'm missing certificates?
We'll tell you exactly what's missing. We can recommend local engineers and assessors, but you choose who to use.
